SCHOOLMission StatementThe mission of Faith Lutheran School is to assist the parents of our church with the spiritual training and secular education of their children. God says to parents, "bring up [your children] in the training and instruction of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4). Jesus also said to the Church, "Feed my lambs" (John 21:15). Objectives 1. Faith Lutheran School will provide its school children with a Christian education which includes daily instruction in God's Word and a Christ-centered secular curriculum. This approach will strengthen the faith of the children in their walk toward heaven and will also prepare them to be literate Christian citizens in society.
2. Through such an education, children will be assured that they are redeemed children of God and will be confident that the Word of God is right and true. God assures us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).
3. Because of their faith, the children will want "to thank and praise, and serve and obey Him" (Luther's Catechism).
4. In providing a sound Christian education, we are providing our children with answers to life's most profound questions, questions which no other form of education can answer with truth: Where did we come from? (God created us) Why are we here? (We are here to serve God and others) Where are we going? (We are heading for heaven)
5. Such an education will encourage children to utilize their God-given talents in a life of faithful service to their Lord and to their fellow man. This could be in a full-time preaching or teaching ministry, or in the work force. Our Lord says, "my sheep listen to my voice...and they follow me" (John 10:27).
6. Faith Lutheran School has been established as an aid to parents. It is essential that home and school work cooperatively, encouraging and assisting one another.
